Helena Eisenhart: Collection Four is created from all up-cycled vintage and antique materials. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and developed from a wide array of sources including second hand stores across New York, the designer’s personal wardrobe, and wardrobes of friends. 

The life of each garment is celebrated by revealing and emphasizing the details of its past wear. Touches of embroidery are added from digitized scans of Helena’s personal journals collected over the past ten years. 

This development came from experimenting with a slower practice in new ways of sustainability. The process of sourcing and deconstructing an original garment becomes just as important as creating the new piece itself.
